Blue Amber is rare compared to the yellow/brown form of Amber, and its primary source is from the Dominican Republic. Still, more recently, it has also been found on the Indonesian island of Sumatra. Blue Amber's title is due to the slight blue toned hue in intense ultraviolet light.
